The intensely pink colour, with bright orange reflections, the rose-tinted mousse and overwhelming aromaticity form the characteristics of this seductively sweet sparkling wine. The aroma encompasses a backbone of honey and the freshness of woodland berries and plums. The lively and carefree palate ushers in a festive conviviality, recalling memories of freshly-pressed must, leading to a refreshing and joyful finish.
This wine is ideal at the end of a meal or on its own, with all kinds of biscuits – even for dunking! – and with fruit cakes, cremes and tarts.
GRAPES: A blend of aromatic grape varieties.
VINIFICATION AND AGEING: The grapes undergo a soft pressing; the must is made clear by refrigeration and then fermented in temperature-controlled tanks. Once the must has reached 3%-4% alc. vol., it is chilled in order to preserve the primary
aromas from the grapes. This step is followed by the Charmat process.
COLOUR: A pale ruby-red, accompanied by a persistent, rosecolored mousse.
BOUQUET: Fruity and fl oral, with nuances of roses and gently musky hints.
FLAVOUR: Fresh and delicately sweet, with an appealingly fruity aftertaste.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: Serve at 8° – 10° C. (46° – 50° F.).
FOOD MATCHES: Splendid at the end of a meal with desserts, cookies, cakes and pastries. Also delicious just on its own, as a refreshing, low-alcohol drink.
