The mission of Casanova Balsamic Vinegar’s caretakers is to hand down the passion for this excellent product, strongly linked to family traditions and love for the local territory. Only after many years of hard work among the typical Trebbiano and Lambrusco vineyards, respecting rules and secrets handed down through generations, it is possible to obtain the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, characterised by the right density, a dark brown colour, an elaborate bouquet, a pleasant acidity and a smooth, bittersweet flavour. Casanova is a Leonardi brand that specializes in the production of balsamic vinegars since the 19th century. The Balsamic Vinegar is a very unique condiment, produced in limited quantity because linked to the geographical areas of Modena and Reggio Emilia. The Leonardi farmhouse is surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards mainly with grapes varieties of Trebbiano (white grape) and Lambrusco (red grape). It is a closed cycle farm, meaning they grow and tend their own grapes, harvest, ferment, age, bottle and sell the balsamic vinegar all on their own property. That's an important distinction in the quality and flavour of their vinegar. This tradition is handed down by the Leonardi Family which repeats year after year the same production cycle of their balsamic vinegar, giving birth to an always renewed emotion.
