Meringue-based cookie from Borgo de Medici featuring a lemon flavoured cream in between two almond flour-based shells. This crispy, light, airy cookie is delicious.
From the 16th century, when Caterina de’ Medici brought to France these sweets delicacies, macarons took their origins, or better their notoriety. Called maccarons, from the wording Maccarone, their origin is 100% Italian, where from the 8th century they were cooked for nobles families and served for special occasions. From Tuscany, the birthplace of De’ Medici family, we’re proud to re bring these colorful, delicately flavored crispy desserts, with a creamy heart, from the Italian tradition to our customers all over the world.
