Harissa is a Tunisian hot chili pepper paste, made from ground sun dried chilli peppers mixed with cumin, coriander, garlic and salt. Harissa is sometimes described as “Tunisia’s main condiment”, even “the national condiment of Tunisia”, for being widely used.
The Terre Exotique Harissa (hot chili sauce) is a very spicy Tunisian condiment, for those who like it hot!
Ingredients:
Red pepper (32%), tomato, sunflower oil, olive oil, garlic, spices (4%, with cumin and coriander), salt. Packed in France.
Storage:
Keep in a dry place.
Usage Suggestions:
Traditionally eaten on bread with olive oil, or served with couscous, tagines and steamed fish.
