Abba Pickled Herring 430g consists of dehydrated salted herring fillets that you need to pickle a couple of days before you can make your own pickled herring by choice.
The product contains herring (Clupea harengus) of highest quality fished in the North East Atlantic from viable stocks.
Abba herring is produced in Kungshamn on the west coast of Sweden. Pickled Herring is traditionally enjoyed in easter celebrations, midsummer and christmas.

HERRING fillets without skin, salt, spirit vinegar, preservative (sodium benzoate).

Preparation Suggestion:
DO YOUR OWN PICKLED HERRING WITH 1-2-3 PICKLING LIQUID: 1.
Make your own pickling liquid: Boil 0.5 dl spirit vinegar (12%), 1 dl
sugar and 1.5 dl water with 5 white peppercorns, 5 black pepper
corns, 5 allspice corns, 5 cloves and 1 bay leaf. Let the brine cool in
the fridge. 2. Rinse the herring fillets in cold water and cut into
pieces. 3. Put the herring in a glass jar with desired seasoning and
vegetables and pour over the 1-2-3 pickling liquid and set in the
fridge for at least 2 days. 4. Now the herring is ready to eat! 5. Do you
want a creamy herring? Pour off the pickling liquid in step 4 and mix
the herring with any sauce.
