Chimichurri is a hot sauce that is used as an ingredient in cooking or as a table condiment for grilled meats. It is a specialty of Argentine cuisine and consists of chopped parsley, garlic, paprika, olive oil, oregano, vinegar, among other things.
The word Chimichurri means “a mixture of everything” in Basque Spanish. In Argentina, it is a staple food, it is widely used in grilling, among families and neighborhoods to create a community experience.
Chimichurri goes well with fried eggs, with fresh tomatoes and avocado, with potatoes, and grilled vegetables with tofu or with chilled beef.
