Beef Steaks with Green Pepper

  1. Cut the rump into steaks 1 to 2 cm thick and season with salt. Heat the oil in a frying pan with the peeled and crushed garlic cloves and let it heat up.
  2. Add the steaks and let them fry very well on both sides.
  3. Remove the steaks, add the white wine to the same skillet, let it boil until the alcohol evaporates, add the cream and peppercorns and cook until thickened. Rectify the salt.
  4. Place the steaks on a platter or plates, drizzle with the sauce and serve. Serve with a mixed salad and sautéed spaghetti.

 

Chef’s Tip: 2cm steaks are thick. Let them fry, without cutting them, until they are golden brown on the outside and on both sides. That way they are soft and juicy inside.
