With its medium-low build, producing medium-sized fruit which is easily detached, the Cobrançosa olive shows strong resistance to cold weather, but, being from Alentejo, is somewhat susceptible to the heat. Its olive oil bears bitter and spicy sensations of medium intensity, made stronger by harvesting the olive when it is still green.
This Portuguese olive oil of superior category, obtained directly from olives, solely by mechanical means.
